ReadThisToMe Needs Volunteers

ReadThisToMe is a free reading service for the blind, powered by volunteers and Internet collaboration.

As the service grows in popularity, we need more volunteer readers. Volunteer readers call ReadThisToMe clients on the phone and read them the documents they've faxed in.

Want to help? You'll need:

• to live in the United States
• a computer with an Internet connection (you don't need a fax machine).
• Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF viewer
• a few minutes, several days a week, to devote to calling and reading to clients
• a phone that isn't tied up when you're on the Internet
• to be willing to make long-distance calls: clients may be located anywhere in the U.S. or Canada (You'll pay the long distance charges. Unless you have a mobile phone with free long distance and extra minutes that you never use.)
